I don’t know about you but I love suede; it is luxurious without being pretentious and is the perfect transition fabric from fall to winter or winter to spring because it provides a layer of extra warmth that many of the new manufactured textiles are lacking. The other great thing about suede is it doesn’t take the eye of a stylist to pull a look together you can pair it with almost anything for an instant pop of style. There are only two simple rules to follow when wearing suede:

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT layer yourself on suede. It is so rich and distinctive that too much of it leaves your outfit looking heavy and overdone, kind of like the feeling you have after eating too much chocolate cake. These two outfits above are the perfect examples.

Suede will inevitably always be the statement piece of your outfit so let it stand alone or pair it with items that are more subdued and act as a complement to highlight your statement.
Outfit 1:
Tan Suede Minidress
Outfit 2:
Olive Suede Dress
Future Glory Bag

These jackets are the perfect example of making a statement without going over the top.
Outfit 1:
Veda Jayne Suede Biker Jacket
Outfit 2:
Maroon Suede Trench
J Brand Leather Pants

The other great thing about suede is it can be dressed up or down, the two examples above illustrate this perfectly; shabby chic versus being casually refined.
Outfit 1:
Maison Skotch Jacket
Weekday T-Shirt
Zalando Mini Skirt
Outfit 2:
Camel Suede Mini Skirt

Use suede to add depth and texture to leggings or a simple silk shirt.
Outfit 1:
Tenia Silk Blouse
J Crew Suede Pants

The reach out and touch me allure of this fabric adds a pop of posh to Boho Chic.
Outfit 1:
Arin Boho Top
Abbi Suede Shorts
Outfit 2:
Camel Suede Skinny Pants

And last but not least if you want to capture a small slice of luxury you can always incorporate accessories; a suede hat, shoes or handbag into your style.

New season, new you! Much like the first day of the year, back-to-school season is about starting over, wiping your slate clean, relishing beginnings, and all that. That means either reinvention with a complete wardrobe overhaul or, your same look, but enhanced with key purchases. Whether you are actively pursuing “a look” like an ’80s mom aesthetic with a blazer and burgundy midi boots or are splurging on a one hero investment, like a sleek double-breasted coat in preparation for winter or a newly discovered carryall that will last a lifetime, scroll through to find out what you should buy this month, because we definitely are.

Why not “borrow from the boys” with a menswear button down blazer? Whether you choose to steal your partner’s jacket, or find a more tailored style to fit your silhouette, this is an easy way to spruce up your Fall wardrobe with the things you already have in your closet.

Don’t just reserve the menswear jacket for daytime. You can also pair your coat with your favorite dress and sheer tights to keep you warm against Fall’s chilly nights.

Check out our favorite “menswear” style jackets here:
“East Meets West” Taupe Beaded Ponte Jacket
“Bolero” Black Jacket

We found the perfect Fall carryall- a hobo bag is roomy enough to hold an iPad, but not too big that it overwhelms. Mix a deep brown shade with your favorite flare jeans for a subtle style or go with a bright pop of color added to your normal fashion routine. And to top it off, we love that you can buy different types of straps (woven, chain, etc) to match whatever mood you’re in.

Our favorite flare jeans to match the hobo bag with:
1921’s “Distressed” Denim Jeans
AC Collection’s Medium Wash Flare Jeans
Hudson’s “Ferris Flap” Pocket Flap Jeans

All the faded jeans, slouchy overalls, and leggings in your wardrobe simply cannot survive Fall without the help of a cozy long-sleeve knit sweater in a statement color or print. Whether you prefer a chevron, animal, or sequin print, make a statement without saying a word this Season.

Check out our favorite “statement sweater” options you can try:
“Design to Mesmerize” Pink Chevron Sweater
“Sequin” Black Pullover Sweater
“Lucie” Grey Elephant Sweater

And speaking of making a statement, why not try this Season’s favorite jewelry trend. Trade out your delicate, threadbare-thin bands and go for bold, beautiful gemstone disc rings. They look like candy, and you can wear one or many all at the same time. Even if you don’t change anything in your wardrobe this year, a big, glittering piece of jewelry will draw attention and make you stand out.

Shop our favorite finds here:
“Aegean” Round Stone Ring
“Ever Tiger Eye” Disk Ring
“Compass” Silver Ring

In anticipation of Fall, invest in a durable double-breasted coat. It is the perfect transitional piece and versatile enough to be dressed up or down. Pair with your favorite evening attire for a night on the town, and throw over your favorite button down and jeans for errands during the day.

Our favorite pairings with your double breasted coat:
“Amelie” Black Suede Sheath Dress
Hudson’s “Collin Skinny” Jeans
“Jepson” Black Faux Leather Leggings

You can also wear your coat as a dress, pairing with a turtleneck and tights when the weather is chilly, or go solo with just the coat and a chic pair of nude heels for a streamline effect. However you choose to style, be sure to include this classic into your wardrobe this Season.

They hide love handles, belly bulges, and front flab. They keep shirts properly tucked in. Best of all, they don’t give you a muffin top or show a plumber’s crack. No wonder that the high-waisted style is on the rise. Take a cue from celeb Selena Gomez and go “business” glam with a chic pair of sleek black high waisted wide leg slacks combined with a matching blouse tucked at the waist for a streamlined, slimming silhouette.

On casual days, grab a pair of high waisted denim jeans and pair with your favorite comfy tank and ankle boots for a no nonsense style.

Segue into the evening hours by pairing your high waisted pants, whether jeans or slacks, with an eye catching sequined top for nighttime glam.

The power of the spots is immediate: They can make the laziest outfit seem intentional. Leopard print has been around for decades, from Josephine Baker and Jean Harlow in the 30’s to Eartha Kitt and Bettie Page in the ’50s, and in the ’60s, it was Mrs. Robinson in “The Graduate” and Edie Sedgwick in Andy Warhol’s Factory. Keep running through time and you’ll see Elizabeth Taylor and Catherine Deneuve in the print. These days, it’s favored by Kate Moss, Anna Wintour, and Michelle Obama. Notice a trend here? These are all strong women with strong points of view.

It’s no surprise that at a time when the world at large is questioning what it means to be a strong woman, leopard print has popped up as a runway trend at shows from Prada to Givenchy. Looking at Hillary Clinton in her thigh-grazing coats and wide-leg pants is making us think about what it means to power dress in 2016.  Just as female leopards are the hunters of their prides, so do females in leopard print tend to be of the “Girl Boss” variety.

Take a look at our favorite “leopard print” styles you can get today:
“Nico” Mid Rise Super Skinny Jeans
“Martina”Green Printed Tank Top
“Bright Young Things” Bodycon Dress

Why not let your hands do the talking in a chic “leopard print” nail fashion. Check out our favorite tutorial below on how you can achieve the look at home.

And finally, you can’t go wrong with a chic midi boot for Fall. The trick to styling? Find your sweet spot: For those with a bulkier calf, aim for a boot that ends just under the widest part of the muscle. For those with slim limbs, a heel always helps.

Still clinging to your minis? Tights will even the whole thing out in a pinch for a classy streamlined effect.

Shop our favorite Fall mini skirt styles today:
“Berlin” A Line White Knit Skirt
“Asiah” Beige Patchwork Suede Skirt
“Valda” Black Mixed Media Ultra Suede Skirt

Midi boots also pair perfectly with this Season’s midi skirt, giving just a hint of alluring leg action, in the way a flash of wrist or ankle might have caused shockwaves for a Victorian era audience.

Our favorite midi skirts:
“Kenley” Black Floral Lace Midi Skirt
“Corra” A Line Midi Skirt
“Timeless Lace” Grey Floral Midi Skirt

And don’t forget your favorite pair of comfy cropped and skinny jeans or pants. The midi boot blends perfectly with the shortened leg combined with a chunky sweater or oversized coat for perfect Fall style.

Our favorite cropped leg pants to choose from this Fall:
Joe’s Rolled Classic Cropped Jeans
Hudson’s Cropped Distressed Boyfriend Jeans
“Rylie” Black Satin Cropped Pant

Which Fall Fashion item will you include into your wardrobe collection this year? Make a point to add at least one NEW piece to usher in and celebrate the Autumn Season. Whether you choose Leopard Print, a Hobo Bag, or Midi Boots, you are sure to shine in style this Season.

And remember we here at Posh at Play want to remind you to
Be YOU, Be Fabulous, and always Be Feminine.

This week, the fashion world exploded with the Duchess of Cambridge’s slightly “daring” off the shoulder tailored look at the Museum of Natural History’s benefit in London. Flattering on all body types by accentuating the décolletage, you too can “class” up this silhouette. Take a tip from Kate and incorporate Summer’s favorite “off shoulder” style into your fashion wardrobe this Season.

Created by designer Barbara Casasola for her Spring 2016 collection, the pinstripe cream colored dress is the perfect cross between classy yet cool. The Duchess dressed things up with dainty dangle earrings and strappy heels, but you could easily pair this look with  sandals for lunch with the girls, or your favorite comfy sneakers for the perfect “Athleisure” look.

At the workplace, keep your off the shoulder dress sophisticated by accessorizing with skinny cotton pants and classic oxfords for all day comfort and style.

On another day, create a different outfit with your skinnies by pairing with a lightweight cotton lace off the shoulder top for perfect polish.

Great for work or play, streamline your look with all neutrals. Go with a cream colored knit top paired with wide leg “culottes,” making a fashion comeback this year.

Other neutral cropped pant styles we like:
“Rylie” Taupe Jogger Pants
“Margaux” Metallic Floral Capri Pants
“Crepe” Black Satin Cropped Pants

Don’t limit your style to just black and white. Jazz things up with a pretty floral print off the shoulder blouse paired with your favorite skinny jeans, if appropriate. On other occasions, you can accessorize your top with a chic midi skirt or wide leg trousers for perfect sophistication.

Substitute your pants with a classy chic A line skirt for a fun, flirty look. Go all black in an off shoulder lace tunic and matching skirt, or switch things up in a “black and white” style with a white jacquard knit A line.

Another chic off the shoulder style that can be adapted to both work and “classy” events is Summer’s favorite romper.  Feel light and airy this Summer in a breezy white lace shorts set accessorized with nude colored sandals and handbag. Or, go with a  classic basic black style paired with minimal gold jewelry and a colorful handbag. Keep your look sophisticated by keeping hemlines longer for extra coverage, combining with classic handbags, jewelry, and shoes, and styling hair in a chic topknot, sleek pony, or loose curls carefully shaped in place.

Feeling a little daring? Go with a pretty printed cotton romper combined with solid colored accessorizes to streamline your look. From florals to Aztec to animal print, you’ll feel confident and polished in a whimsical print romper this Season.

Other printed romper options to try:
“Essie” Coral Printed Off the Shoulder Romper
“Summer” Ivory Printed Strapless Shorts Set

Extend the romper look to full length pants in a trendy printed jumpsuit, perfect for any Summer occasion.

Straight off the Spring 2016 runways, try a printed strapless jumpsuit for pure class and style. Whether on your way to the office or out and about for the day, you are sure to turn heads.

Our Favorite Printed Jumpsuit Styles:
“Cierra” Printed Jersey Jumpsuit
“Denna” Crepe de Chine Pantsuit
“On the Go” Purple Printed Jumpsuit

Feeling a bit whimsical? Forgo the solids and try a silky floral patterned cold shoulder top. Paired with skinny denim pants, a mini skirt, or trousers, you’ll be the talk of the town everywhere you go.

Our favorite patterned “cold shoulder” finds:
“Agne” Printed Cold Shoulder Tunic
“Ariana” Black Printed Blouse
“Cabana” Ivory Animal Print Tunic
“Cabana Sanctuary” Fuchsia Tunic
“Chain Reaction” White Silk Crop Waist Blouse

And finally, you must add a chic cold shoulder dress to the mix this Season. Whether for work or play, your dress will have you looking stylish without all the fuss. Tussle your hair and you are ready to rock. Choose a bold color to brighten your day, or an intricate pattern for some whimsy and fun.

With Monday being the official first day of Summer, it’s time to start preparing for the hot weather ahead. No matter which region you live in, there are bound to be some hot times ahead. But don’t fret! We’ve gathered together our favorite “chill” Summer tips that’ll keep you refreshed and revived all Season long. From fashion to food to drinks to fragrances, take a look and start feeling cooler already.

On the hottest of Summer’s days, why not take the opportunity to host your own pool party. Not only will everyone cool off, but it’s a good time to catch up with your best friends and have a little fun as well. Be sure to include lots of floats for young and old alike, and stay cool and fresh in your favorite patterned print romper paired over your favorite Summer swimsuit.

Our favorite Summer Party wear to try:
 “Aliza” Printed Rayon Romper
“Iara” Handkerchief Shorts Set
“Cabana” Teal Bikini

Whether hosting a party, having a friend over, or indulging yourself, be sure to stay hydrated with cold, refreshing beverages throughout the Season’s hottest days. While we all know that nature’s chilled water is always best, dare to have a little fun now and again with some tasty alternatives. And why not dazzle in style as well in your favorite cool cotton tank sundress.

Additional  cool “hostess” Sundress options to try:
“Adelaide” Pink Jersey Dress

Our favorite unique Summer “adult” beverage is Captain Morgan’s Guava Nectar drink:

Recipe: 1.5oz grapefruit rum
1.5oz Goya guava nectar
2oz club soda
0.5oz lime juice

On a hot summer day, the last thing you want to do is heat up the kitchen. We suggest making cold salads and dishes throughout the Season to keep the house cool. Start with personalized seven layer dip and chip cup appetizers, layering refried beans, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, cheese, and freshly diced tomatoes on top. Take advantage of Seasonal fruit at your local market, and fill ice cream waffle cones with freshly cut melons, berries, kiwi, apples, and whatever else appeals to you.

Next, serve a luscious cold Mexican chopped salad tossed in a light vinaigrette and packed with nutritious  iron, vitamin C, iron, and potassium. Not only will your taste buds have a party, but also you won’t have to work twice as hard for that perfect “bikini” ready body.

Summer Mexican Chopped Salad

Make your living space fresh and cool with sunny scents of Summer paired with romantic floral arrangements. Fill a simple mason jar or vase with water and freshly cut lemons, adding your favorite Summer posies for fun yet easy DIY interior decor.

Not only can you keep your home smelling fresh, but you can also refresh yourself 0n the hottest of Summer’s days. Create your own cool mist spritzers, perfect for everyday or when you are hosting an outdoor Summer party. Simply fill a spray bottle with water and julienned cucumber or a few sprigs of mint and lavender. Bonus: cucumber is known for its hydrating properties, and lavender and mint are reputed insect repellents.

When you feel like getting out of the house, pack up some sunscreen, a good read, a  floppy hat, sunglasses, and a cooler filled with plenty of cold beverages to stay hydrated against the Summer sun. Now is the perfect time to show a little skin and bring out that Summer body you’ve been working on in a chic ivory lace crochet swimsuit.

Want a little color? Try these other swimsuit options:
“Flight of Fancy” Purple Ruffle Bikini

Lake house with pier and woods with sunrise in the morning in Ne

Whether you decide to bunk overnight in one of the lake houses, tootle around in your own canoe, or enjoy a good read while soaking your feet, you’ll bask in the beauty of nature while cooling off against Summer’s hot sun.

Stay cool while chillin’ in a casual “Cabana” drop waist dress or flowy blouse over your swimsuit, just in case you decide to go for a dip.

Other “lake view” Summer options? Try a chic shirtdress, cool, stylish, and free.
“Femi” Flutter Crepe Navy Dress
“Cabana” Silk Cotton Shirt Dress
“Eda” Lace Trimmed Tunic Dress

Finally, at the hottest part of the day when the heat becomes unbearable, head to your local indoor mall to cool off and do a little retail therapy. Give your air conditioning at home a break while you enjoy the cool open air at the mall. Grab an ice cold tea and take advantage of the Summer sales.

Don’t go at it alone. Don your favorite “boyfriend” jeans and take your best girlfriends with you.

Consider these other cool denim options as well:
Citizen’s of Humanity’s “Gibson” loose fit shorts

“Time to Turn Heads” Coral Cotton Sundress
“Denise” Sleeveless Printed Tank Dress
“Livia” Printed Crepe de Chine Shorts

And remember we here at Posh at Play always want you remember that no matter what
Be You, Be Fabulous, and ALWAYS Be Feminine.

Last week, L.A. based fashion blogger Natalie Kramer gave you favorite West Coast Girl styling tips. This week, take some Preppy and Polished tips from the East Coast influenced by tradition as much as practical concerns.

Since weather patterns can be unpredictable, with sun one minute and rain the next, East Coasters are used to fashionably styling a light cardigan or sweater year round. The East Coast is the home of Ivy League schools and academia in the North and manners and charm in the South. This influences the region’s style and fashion with the popularity of pearls, polos, plaids, and sweaters. Take a look at our 6 tips on how to dress East Coast style.

East Coasters know that the best way to add a bit of class to any style is to simply add a string of pearls. From work to play, any outfit can be enhanced with this simple embellishment. Whether you choose to don a charming A Line Dress or classic oxford shirt and blazer, pearls are a more than acceptable accessory day or night. So grab those heirloom strands of your grandmothers or splurge with Majorica’s Three-Strand Pearl Necklace as a way of initiation.

Every East Coast girl knows that rain wear is not merely a necessity, it is a fashion statement all its own. From rain jackets to umbrellas to boots, an East Coast girl knows how to rock these items in style. Start your fashionable rain wear collection with a trendy pair of weatherproof boots. For a perfect Spring style, we like Hunters Original Tall Gloss Rain Boots paired with Vineyard Vines Cashmere Linen Tunic Sweater and skinny jeans from Hudson. Add a little novelty to your look with jewelry pieces in the Cape Cod Collection from East Wind Silver Co.

For East Coasters, nautical pieces are tied in from north to south inspired by sailing whether for pleasure or toil due to the convenience of the Great Lakes and the length of the coastline. Since the weather along the East Coast tends to be chillier and not as mild as the West Coast, our “beach wear” often includes a light sweater, cardigan, floppy hat or scarf. Start with Citizen’s of Humanity’s white cropped shorts paired with a striped tee from Paige Denim, your string of pearls, and classic boat shoes from Sperry. Be inspired by Spring’s runway looks from Giorgio Armani and Ralph Lauren, and start shopping your favorite nautical items. Don’t forget the perfect nautical jewelry, we love the anchor inspired bracelets by Kiel James Patrick.

On the East Coast, the popular “preppy” style derives mostly from the universities. The polos, plaids, and sweaters have evolved into a very chic yet proper style perfect for anyone to try this Spring. Let your hair go natural, and pair Washed Dayboat Classic Shorts  with a Short Sleeve Polo Shirt and Lacoste Slip On Sneakers. Accessorize your look by tying a plaid button up around your waist in case the weather turns chilly. On dressier occasions, combine your polo and pearls with a White A line Mini Skirt from Hale Bob or a Candy Pink Striped Midi Skirt from Chic Wash.  Who says that you have to be a college student to enjoy one of the East Coast’s favorite fashion statements?

In contrast, on the lower regions of the East Coast, Southern charm omits the plaids opting for lovely and light shades boasting floral and sea faring prints yet the proper look is still maintained with clean cuts, A line skirts, and the like. And since it’s Spring, now is the perfect time to “be playful in preppy prints.” Look for light pastels, floral prints, flutter sleeves, and midi-length skirts. Lilly Pulitzer has got it down to a science with their eye pleasing shades, one of a kind prints and oh so Southern Charm. We’re particularly fond of the Shellabrate print this year that easily pairs with your lightweight cardigans and Georgica Jelly Sandals.

You can even carry the playful prints to the workplace with Hale Bob’s Beaded Blue Silk Blouse and Wide Leg Linen Trousers. Slide into a pair of Metallic Gold Wedges from Lilly and your sure to bring a refreshing outlook to the office. From dresses to skirts to shorts, be sure to include the East Coast’s favorite playful prints into your closet this Spring.

Finally, our favorite “style” that every girl should choose not just for Springtime but throughout the entire year is monograming. East Coasters from North Carolina down are obsessed with monograming everything, making it their own. From jackets to handbags to jewelry to even iPhone cases. Putting your initials on your favorite styling items shows ownership and commitment to the things you love best. The East Coast is characterized by individualism and hard work, but with class, character, and charm. We love the classic East Coast look pictured above with your very own personalized with a Merino Wool V-Neck Sweater paired over a Polka Dot Blouse, and Cropped Denim Jeans. If you choose to try only one East Coast style this Season, pick your favorite item to monogram and take ownership of your fashion. Whether you choose to own your most loved handbag, hat or  hoodie Southern Charm Embroidery is the place to go to put your stamp on it.

From our list above, there is sure to be an East Coast style that suits you this Season. Maybe you’ll decide to add a string of pearls on your next evening out. Or you may tie a cardigan around your outfit for lunch out with the girls. Or why not monogram your favorite fashion accessory or wardrobe essential, exuding style, class, and individuality.

Now that you have read both last week and this week’s blogs on West Coast vs East Coast fashion truths, we’d love to hear YOUR opinion on which style you think fits you best. Will you follow your region’s trends and styles, or will you choose to “go against the grain” and try something new and different? Let us hear from YOU and comment below. And remember, no matter what we here at Posh at Play want you to be you, be fabulous, and always be feminine.

elisabetta5-1024x768From Valentino to Dior to Ralph Lauren, we’re loving this year’s NEW neutral color trend. Get in touch with your feminine side this Spring and start including quartz rose, serenity blue, soft peach, neutral beige, and creamy ivory into your wardrobe collection. Romance is key this Season. Take a look at our favorite outfit styles and start shopping the trends today.

Start your week off right and carry the soft neutral trend to the office with you in style. Start with a neutral colored knit pencil skirt from St. John’s Collection paired with Hale Bob’s sleeveless draped satin blouse or  ivory long sleeve silk blouse and classic Christian Louboutin pumps, designed to accentuate and elongate the leg line. Or if you are feeling daring, go with a white embroidered mini skirt from Hale Bob. Keep up with Spring’s fluctuating weather patterns and top your look with an ivory Bolero jacket from Hale Bob on chillier days. Accessorize in style with a Tory Burch black satchel bag and matching cat eye sunglasses from designer Tom Ford. You are sure to catch your co-workers’ attention in the office this Spring.

Your romantic side can shine through even on “run of the mill” casual errand days.  Air dry your hair, tousle, and lightly spritz with a touch of Bumble & Bumble’s surf foam spray for a “no nonsense,” easygoing style. Next, grab a pair of stretchy, comfortable taupe ultra suede pants from Hale Bob topped with Rag & Bone’s ivory sweatshirt and chic leopard print ballerina flats from Salvatore Ferragamo. Strap on your blush pink cross body bag, swipe on a drop of all natural lip balm from Grown Alchemist, and you are ready to step out on the streets in style.

Why not be trendy yet comfy in soft muted pastels on your next lunch out? Start with Spring’s trendy distressed look, updated for 2016 on the skinny leg silhouette. We like True Religion’s stretch white skinny jeans topped with Chloe’s luscious vintage Victorian pink chiffon blouse, trending on the runways through Fall 2016. For chillier days, accessorize with a soft beige shawl coat from Harris Wharf London, or BCBG’s lace trench for a more structured style. Top off your look with Kate Spade’s sweet pink bucket bag and matching lace up sandals from Steve Madden. You’re sure to get the girls gossiping this year with your “easy breezy” beautiful Spring style.

Surprise him with a little romance as you include the soft colors of Spring into your nighttime activities. From Gucci to Caroline Herrera, get in on this Season’s pretty pleated skirt trend seen on this year’s runways. Get the above look with Tibi’s strappy pleated swing dress or go with Tahari’s fit and flare dress for a more classic silhouette. If you’re a “girly” gal, Hale Bob’s sweet sleeveless pleated tank dress will suit you to a “T” paired with your favorite strappy heels or gladiators. And finally, for the inner Hollywood “diva,” make a grand entrance in the luscious floor length ivory empire dress NEW from Liberty Garden. Simple, classic, Boho, or dramatic, there’s a perfect pleated dress style just waiting for you.

With lace and “Boho chic” all the rage, now is the time to add a few of Spring’s “essentials” to your wardrobe collection. Perfect for the beach topped over your favorite swimsuit or paired over your “go to” tee and shorts outfit, be sure to add this Season’s favorite lovely lace Kimono jacket. Light enough to prevent bulk yet thick enough to provide a little warmth from Spring’s fluctuating temperatures, Liberty Garden’s ivory lace Kimono is the perfect jacket option for you this Season. Another favorite Spring jacket option is the “Boho chic” poncho. Slip on Liberty Garden’s black or ivory laced fringed poncho over your favorite poolside attire, or pair over Citizen’s of Humanity’s ivory shorts, Hale Bob’s white lace tank , and Free People’s tall gladiators for the quintessential “festival girl” style. Or, complete your day of fun in sun with Liberty Garden’s long sleeve lace tunic on chilly Spring days or off the shoulder lace tunic from South Beach swimsuits during summer’s heat wave. Kimono, poncho, or tunic, there’s a lovely lacy cover up option to suit your Spring style.

Unsure of what to wear to your next garden party or Spring wedding? You can’t go wrong in a creamy ivory or peachy pink lace dress, suitable for any occasion casual to dressy. We like Hale Bob’s ivory lace pencil dress with this year’s off the shoulder trending silhouette style. Go with the long sleeve two-toned dress or white lace strapless maxi paired with Topshop’s lace up blush pink wedges for little “Boho chic” flare. If classic is more your style, grab Hale Bob’s ivory floral A line dress accessorized with Badgley Mischka’s floral embellished open toes pumps and matching leather clutch from Tory Burch. Classic or Boho, mini or maxi, you’ll look lovely in lace this year.

This Season is all about “do it yourself” beauty and what better way to usher in Spring’s neutral colors than with an at home manicure makeover. Our favorite is the Red Carpet Pro manicure starter set, featuring your own LED lights, nourishing cuticle cream, prep nail sanitizer, base coat and top coat enhancers, plus nail polish remover and application purifying cleanser. Grab Salon quality nail polish in soft peach cream and in minutes you can enjoy weeks worth of nail beauty. Invite the girls over, brew some detox tea, and relax for an afternoon of nourishment, fun, and style from the comfort of your own home.

Don’t just stop at nail beauty. Continue Spring’s neutral color scheme trend into your daily make up routine this Season. Start with Urban Decay’s weightless ultra definition foundation, add a blushing cheek stain from Tarte,  a swipe of bareMinerals’ natural volumizing mascara, and finish up with MAC’s soft sheer nude lipstick inspired by designer Zac Posen. To compliment this year’s carefree, “unfussy” style, treat your tresses to a little extra loving care with natural remedies for damage control. Two of our favorite “hair masks” can be found conveniently right in your kitchen. First is the Avocado and Peppermint hair mask, made by mixing one avocado, a tablespoon each of olive oil and honey, and sprinkled lightly with peppermint tea to stimulate your scalp and offer intense refreshment to your locks. Our second favorite, used to treat damaged follicles, is the Milk and Honey hair mask, made from one cup of whole milk and a teaspoon of honey. Let hair soak in the mixture for 15 minutes, and then rinse and shampoo. You’re sure to turn heads your way with your natural glow this Spring.

Get in touch with your romantic side and look for Spring’s softer neutral pastels in pinks, peaches, blues, and beiges. Coupled with silky lace, ruffles, and pleats, this Season is all about embracing the feminine ideal and enhancing the womanly figure. Take our fashion ideas and adapt them to fit your perfect style and unique personality. Be you, be fabulous, and always be feminine.
