OSCARS 2015 FASHION TRENDS

Awards Season is our favorite time of the year when celebrities show us what will be trending for the upcoming Spring and Summer months. We love seeing our favorite actors and actresses walking the Red Carpet in the trendiest designer fashions and styles. The 2015 Academy Awards last Sunday proved to be not only an entertaining awards show but also an exciting sneak peek into Spring fashion. Designers went for elegance and romance this year with sweeping skirts, delicate lace, and soft pastels. Check out our favorite Red Carpet trends spotted at this season’s Oscars.

           

CANARY YELLOW

Jennifer Hudson opted for a bold and bright look with her lovely Romona Keveza canary yellow gown. While the style of the dress was very simple with a column silhouette and skinny belt emphasizing her slim waistline, it was the color of the gown that made her stand out in style. Take a cue from the actress this Season and shop for canary yellow clothing to fit your wardrobe this Spring. Go head-to-toe canary yellow with a Trina Turk sheath dress. BLUSH PINK

One of our favorite colors at this year’s Oscars, trending for Spring, is soft blush pink. This is definitely a color you will want to include in your wardrobe this season. From Zoe Saldana to Gywneth Paltrow to Jennifer Aniston, celebrities embraced their romantic side this Oscar season . CHERRY RED

While it’s always a little chancy to wear all red on a Red Carpet, celebrities from Diane Kruger to Dakota Johnson took the risk and appeared dazzling in head-to-toe cherry red. We loved celebrity Poppy Delevingne’s Emilio Pucci sweeping floral gown at Vanity Fair’s Oscars after party in Beverly Hills. POLKA DOT PATTERN

One of our favorite patterns trending for Spring 2015 is classic polka dots. Actress Marion Cotillard brought this trend to Oscars Red Carpet in style with a beautiful polka-dot patterned Christian Dior gown. COLOR BLOCKING

In our previous blog, “Trending Prints in Fashion for 2015,” we highlighted “color blocking” as a growing trend this Season. “Color blocking” is the art of juxtaposing two colors together in creative, geographical patterns. Several actresses appeared on the Red Carpet this year sporting the trend in style. We loved Patricia Arquette’s classic “color blocked” black and white gown by Rosetta Getty.
